Prayer -
Heavenly Father, You are the creator of all things and with You there is
life. We give You thanks for the blessings of body an soul that
you granted to Larry Walker for whom you have called to eternal rest
with You. We give you thanks for Larry's love and service to all
people and especially to this fire department. Help us to remain
strong in the faith in Your Son Jesus Christ that you gave to Larry.
And be a blessing to us and in our continued service to the life,
safety, and protection of this community. We pray this through
Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen. |

| A Prayer for
Firefighters - Almighty God, heavenly Father, we call upon You
for strength and guidance. Look upon this fire department and your
servants gathered here in all times of need. Teach us to look
always to You for assistance, as our fellow citizens look to us.
Give us courage, that we may impart courage to others. Help us to
work tirelessly in humility and with honor. When the tone sounds
forth calling us to duty give us safe passage and efficiency. Be
at our side as we ride through this community and shield us from all
harm and danger. At all scenes grant all responders unity and
courage in their work given to them. Walk with us through the
trials and terror of flame and destruction, and grant that our hearts by
faith will always be ready to be summoned unto you in the midst of our
service to others. By Your grace and merit this day we dedicate
our lives of service in humbleness to the praise and glory of Your name
and to the service of this community. In Jesus' name we pray this,
Amen. |
